Pharmaceutical drugs in our water supply
In September 2008 I wrote “Think again before drinking from a municipal water supply“. Today an article caught my eye on treehugger called “Fish Near Water Treatment Plants are Harmed by Human Drugs“. There are many of you that have personal wells and are not affected by this issue. For the people that are on municipal water systems it is time for you to WAKE UP! There should have been more than enough press about this subject by now; but of course it’s not in the interest of the cities or government to advertise this type of information. The build up of pharmaceutical drugs in municipal water supplies continues to accumulate everyday.

Until the day that municipal water supply facilities start to “guaranteeing” that “all” pharmaceutical drugs are being filtered out of the water system. I urge you and especially those of you that have children to start buying reverse osmosis treated water. Brita water pitchers or filters do not remove these types of contaminates from water.  They only remove the chlorine which helps the water taste better.
