The fear of sickness is getting out of control. The H1N1 so called “swine flu” is all over the news and some governments are starting to issue mandatory vaccinations. I have posted several links about all this on my facebook page. Just because you get the H1N1 virus doesn’t mean your going to die or end up in the hospital. Most cases of the H1N1 are not even documented because not everyone gets severely sick. The strength of the immune system is a major component in the reason why some people don’t exhibit severe reactions to the virus. So enough with all the fear about getting sick; let’s do something about it! Instead of focusing on fear and relying on the vaccination to protect us, let’s work together and spread information about preventative health and ways to boost your immune system and overall health. This is exactly why I’m writing this article about water.

13 years ago I sold water treatment systems for residential use. Most of these systems filtered water for the whole house. Each system worked specifically to remove different types of contaminants such as chlorine or heavy metals, and some worked to change the hard (acidic) water to soft (alkaline) water. During this time I learned how to test for different contaminants in water and the effects these things have on the human body. This knowledge forever changed my view of water.

There are as many different types of water as there is gasoline for cars, such as low octane grade to racing fuel. Not all waters are alike. The basic components of water is H2O, however other elements that can be found in a glass of water depend on it’s source and where it is stored. I’m not going to get into all the details of the different contaminants that can be found in water. Let’s just talk about how water effects our body and life.

Our body is made up of approximately 70% water. The condition/state of the water that resides in our body directly relates to our overall health. Water is graded or categorized by it’s PH level. The PH scale goes from 0 – 14, with 7 being neutral. Below 7 is acidic and above 7 is alkaline. The PH level of our body is tested just like the water in a swimming pool. It has been well-documented that someone with a PH level below 7 (in the acidic range) is more prone to disease and sickness, compared to a person with a neutral or alkaline PH above 7. An alkaline PH promotes natural healing and a strong immune system.

Everyone should agree that we are what we eat and drink. If you consume acidic foods and drinks, your body most likely will have an acidic PH and in turn have a weak immune system. If you want to improve your health, it only makes sense to consume foods and liquids with higher PH levels. The PH levels in tap water, bottled water and even reverse osmosis water vary and most have a neutral or acidic PH. So what do you think would happen if you started drinking higher PH water? Do you think it would assist you in raising your PH level? Makes sense to me!

I recently learned about a new machine that does just that. It not only filters water, but changes the PH level of normal tap water to a range of 8.5 – 9.5. I was so impressed by the technical ability of the machine I ordered one yesterday. I also became a distributor and will be sharing this information with everyone I know.

It’s not that this is a some kind of magic wand or pill. It’s just another tool to assist us in having a balanced and healthy life. I’m looking forward to the health benefits this machine offers and what it is going to do for me and my family. If you would like to learn more about this machine watch this video.

On August 19th 2007 I wrote a post called “Energize your life and conquer chronic fatigue syndrome“. Ever since then I have been experiencing new ways to naturally heal the body. Most people classify or relate the immune system to the bodies defense mechanism against viruses and disease. This is true, but there is a lot more to the immune system than most people think. The stronger your immune system is the more energetic healing power the body has. The immune system can also be tied to a person’s emotions and moods. Therefore having a strong immune system has many more benefits than simply preventing you from getting sick.

Here are 11 ways that I have found useful in strengthening the immune system. These are an accumulation of 5 years of work and experience. Add any of these or a combination of several to your daily activities and it will change your life. Another idea would be to try one of these each month for the next 11 months. You will never know the benefits of something unless you try it!

1.) Regulate the PH level in your body with positive thought:
The PH scale goes from 0-14 and is a good gauge of how healthy a person is. Most doctors check a persons PH level when you go in for a yearly checkup, but it is seldom discussed. Our bodies are made up of 55 – 60% water and our PH is checked similarly to checking the PH level in a swimming pool. The most optimal PH level for a person is 7% which is considered a neutral PH. Anything under 7% is considered an acidic PH and anything over 7% is considered alkaline. A well trained athlete for instance may have a PH level of 7.4, which is very good. Most people however have a PH level below 7% which is in the acidic range. The lower your PH level the more prone you will be to acquiring diseases and viruses. There are many contributors to a persons PH level and food is one of them, but another main factor is what you think. It has been scientifically proven that people who think positively have a significantly higher PH level than people who worry, and are stressed out all the time. Have you ever heard the saying “you are what you eat”? We can also now say “you are what you think”!

2.) Cleanse the body of toxins:
For centuries people have practiced cleansing or fasting. In the United States most people associate cleansing or fasting with weight loss. Of course you will loose weight when cleansing but it is not the main purpose. Approximately 55-75% of a persons available energy is spent digesting food. When you give your digestive system a break and consume only water or juice for several days, it allows the body to heal and repair itself with the excess energy that it now has available. Cleansing is like sending the digestive system on vacation. One of the other main benefits of cleansing is clearing toxins from the body. The body does not have the capability to process chemically enhanced food and over time these chemicals build up in the body. I could go on and on about the benefits of cleansing. Think of it as spring cleaning for the body. My wife and I do what’s called “The Master Cleanse”. It’s a combination of water, maple syrup, cayenne pepper, and lemon juice. To learn more about the Master Cleanse I suggest reading “The Complete Master Cleanse” by Tom Woloshyn.

3.) Remove colored and hydrogenated foods from your diet:
Ever since the invention of frozen dinners in 1962 companies have been looking for ways to extend the shelf life of food. There are many different types of chemicals that are used in the food industry today. It is common practice for companies to add colorings and to hydrogenate food to make it appear more appetizing and last longer. The dyes are nothing but synthetic chemicals and are described on the food packaging as red#5 or yellow#3. Hydrogenation is a process food is put through to extend it’s shelf life. It may also be described as partially hydrogenated. Many companies are now starting to offer plant based colorings and are doing away with hydrogenation. However the majority of the market is still using these chemicals additives.

Chemicals like these weaken the immune system. The body has no way of breaking these chemicals down, so the the body turns them into what’s called free radicals. Free radicals are what cause cancer in some people. There are several countries that have banned the use of chemicals like these in food. For some reason the US has not. Take it upon yourself to control what is good for you and your family.

4.) Try Kombucha tea:
Kombucha tea is a aerobically fermented beverage made from sugar, tea and the Kombucha mushroom which is not a traditional mushroom, but just looks like one. The Kombutcha mushroom is referred to as a “scoby”, which stands for “symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast”. Kombutcha aids the stomach to better digest food and assists the spleen to deliver nutrition. It also aids the liver to remove toxins in the body. Kombucha provides the digestive system with a good bacteria and assists the digestive organs to work more efficiently. Another benefit of Kombucha tea is it assists your body in balancing it’s PH level.

A friend turned me onto Kombutcha tea 7-8 months ago and I have been brewing it ever since. For a period of 3 months I drank a small amount everyday. Now I drink maybe a half a glass 2-3 times a week or when ever I feel like it. I choose to brew my Kombucha at home. It is a lot cheaper that way. You can purchase bottles of Kombucha in many grocery stores. It usually costs around $3.00 per bottle or serving. For more information on Kombutcha and how to brew it I recommend the happyherbalist.com.

5.) Practice yoga or Tia chi on a weekly basis:
In March of this year I wrote “10 reasons how yoga balances your mind body spirit”. I have been practicing yoga for 3 years and it has changed my life. Yoga and Tia Chi are both forms of moving meditation and one may resignate with you more than the other. These forms of physical movement in combination with the breath balance you emotionally and physically. If you feel like your on an energetic roller coaster all the time and are not attracted to traditional mediation, you may want to give one of these a try. Many of the poses in yoga such as the “plow” pose, assist in speeding up the body’s metabolism. A strong balanced metabolism works jointly with a healthy immune system.

6.) Add AFA blue-green algae into your diet:
Aphanizomenon flos-aquae (AFA), (means invisible flower of the water) is a fresh water nutritional plant referred to as cyanophyta. Cyanophyta are living water plants that grow in nearly all droplets of sunlit water and in every gram of soil, on the bark of trees and the surfaces of rocks. It is estimated that there are as many as 50,000 species, including various seaweeds and plankton.

AFA Blue green algae is one of the most nutritious foods that you can eat. It has been touted as a super food. It is organic, easily digested and full of antioxidants. It is extremely rich in minerals and has a higher concentration of beta-carotene than broccoli. A rich source of calcium, iron, vitamin B12, enzymes and antioxidants make the blue green algae an ideal food for both adults and children. There has been a lot of scientific research to back up these facts. To learn more about AFA blue-green algae or to order a bottle visit e3live.com.

7.) Exercise, walk or experience nature in some way:
There are many ways to exercise, and the best form of exercise is one that you enjoy. If you do not enjoy exercising, most likely you will not do it for long. So find some form of exercise that you find fun. Even two to three hours of exercise a week is better than none. If for some reason you are not able to exercise then walk somewhere or even better, walk through a park or around a lake. Try to spend more time in nature. If you are not able to walk, then find your way to a wooded area or near a tree and simply breath. The breath is our life blood. Taking time to connect with nature and the breath will do wonders for your mind, body and spirit.

8.) Remove energetic blockages in your body:
Even though you may not understand what an “energetic blockage” is, most of you acknowledge that thoughts effect the physical body. Thoughts are energy and with each thought is attached a specific karma. Everyone wants to talk about and discuss the crazy events in their life. What most people don’t realize is how a casual conversation and listening to the drama of someone else’s life will effect you energetically. The same as a toxic substance, energetic karma will build up over time. Like cleansing the body of toxins, it is important to clear out all the unbalanced energy that resides within you.

Many of the poses in yoga assists the body in releasing energetic blockages. There has been more than one time I had tears running down my face in a yoga class for no apparent reason. We may or may not be aware of the reason for an energetic release. A blockage may release simply from you acknowledging something you have been ignoring for a period of time. Many of us push away what we do not want to face. When you deal with something you have been fearful of or putting off for some reason, this is an energetic release as well. The longer you allow these energetic blockages to reside within you, the more they will manifest issues within the physical body. Energetic blockages may show up as headaches, back pain, mental disorders, or chronic fatigue. There are more reasons to clear energetic blockages than I can list here. Until you experience this for yourself you will never know what it feels like to be free of this type of energy. Do not let fear stand in the way of your happiness, so try it! Visit a Shamballa, Reiki or healing practitioner in your area today. I have had countless clearings and healing sessions performed on me over the last few years. You can literally feel the energy lift from your body.

9.) Limit your intake of beef and pork:
For a period of time I was a vegetarian and through that experience I learned a lot about how the body responds to different foods. Every kind of food has a specific energy. As food is broken down in your digestive system, you take on the energy of that food. As I mentioned, the digestive system uses the majority of the available energy in the body. Beef and pork take 2 to 3 times longer for your digestive system to process, compared to fruits and vegetables. Like an engine in a car if you run the engine wide open for a period of time, things will begin to break and wear out. The same principals apply to our body. You have to feed your body good fuel and give it a break every once in awhile if you want it to run efficiently.

The other thing to consider is how food is raised or grown. The less stress an animal or plant goes through the better it will taste and nutritionally be for you. Organically grown food is great but if it has to be transported across the country most likely it did not ripen on the plant or in the ground. It most likely ripened in the transport truck on the way to you. Therefore the freshest most nutritious food you can find will be locally grown. For animals, it comes down to what the animal eats and how much freedom it has to walk around. Beef and pork producers have turned their industry into an assembly line. Keeping the animals in cages and pumping them full of drugs to make them grow faster. The animals never get the freedom to walk through a field, which in turn creates a lot of tension and stress for the animal. This stress and tension builds up in the muscles of the animal and when you eat it you take on the energy of the animal’s experience. If you’re going to eat beef or pork, try purchasing it from a local farm instead of a grocery store. Chances are the animal would of had a happier life and in turn will make yours happier also!

10.) Limit your exposure to toxic chemicals:
We are exposed to toxic chemicals throughout our daily life, such as the cleaning products in our home, laundry detergent, body cremes, hair products, deodorants, building glues and sealants. The body absorbs these chemicals through the skin, lungs and digestive system. What the body cannot release or expel it stores in tissue throughout the body. Over a persons lifetime these chemicals build up and cause issues throughout the body. This is one of the main reasons to do a body cleanse or fast. My wife and I have tested and tried all kinds of different cleaning and personal products over the last few years. You can get the job done with non-toxic cleaners which have proven to be just as good as traditional cleaners. The cost of the non-toxic cleaners are now comparable to the chemical brands also. The same goes for all the other products such as shampoos, body lotions, tooth paste, hair gels, dish washing liquids and so on. Take responsibility for the environment for which you live.

11.) Laugh and enjoy life:
When was the last time you spent a whole day or even a few hours consumed in laughter? Laughter has tremendous healing power and is truly a form of medicine. Laughter can heal the physical body of disease. Laughter can heal the emotional body of loss and depression, and laughter can bring you out of fear. During laughter your bodies energetic system raises in frequency and chemical changes happen. Have you ever said “I really needed a good laugh”? Subconsciously you know the power of laughter, but seldom use it. Practicing laughter on a weekly basis will do wonders for your emotions and physical body. It should be a requirement for you and your family. Put it on your calendar if you have to, “it’s laugh time”.

In closing:
Many of you who read this may be saying to yourself, “I can’t do that. I don’t have the time to do that. I don’t have the money to do that or that sounds scary.” Realize that this is the voice of the ego in your head. You do have the time, money and will power to do these things. You have to just stand up for yourself and take control. Your mind, body and spirit work together like a well-tuned machine. If one of them is out of balance, it throws all three of them off. There are no excuses. We are in control of our existence and reality. If you want to expand your awareness and have a more joyful time here on earth, then you have to take control of your life. Do not take for granted the power within you!

There are many of you that have personal wells and are not affected by this issue. For the people that are on municipal water systems it is time for you to WAKE UP! There should have been more than enough press about this subject by now; but of course it’s not in the interest of the cities or government to advertise this type of information. The build up of pharmaceutical drugs in municipal water supplies continues to accumulate everyday.

Until the day that municipal water supply facilities start to “guaranteeing” that “all” pharmaceutical drugs are being filtered out of the water system. I urge you and especially those of you that have children to start buying reverse osmosis treated water. Brita water pitchers or filters do not remove these types of contaminates from water. They only remove the chlorine which helps the water taste better.

Every event or situation in our world happens for a reason. Our current reality is the compilation of choices we have made up to this point in our lives. It is not always the big choices that make all the difference, it is the small choices that truly matter.

The earth (mother gaia) is a living entity just as we are. Over the years mother gaia has tried to communicate with us, just as our bodies communicate with us through aches, pains or sickness. There is no one to blame but ourselves for the current earth situation. We made the choices to create this reality.

The good news is we are finally starting to listen to mother gaia’s messages. The green and sustainable living movement is fully underway. This movement was not spurred by the government or some large company. It is being driven by normal people making small choices on a daily basis. The goods and services that we pay for drives demand. By making different choices we change the demand in turn changing our world.

Here are a few ideas for you to think about. Ask yourself do I need this product or service to survive. Do I really need it? Is my ego influencing my decision? Making different choices now will help us all in the future.

1.) Buy non toxic products for your home. Not only will this create a healthier environment for you and your family but it is healthier for the earth also. A few examples of these would be cleaning products, laundry detergent, dish washing liquid, bedding material, lawn fertilizers, paint products, sealers, wood finishing products, and glues.

2.) Personal non toxic products would include; shampoo, soap, toothpaste, deodorant, and make-up. Try using a non-toxic dry cleaner instead of a traditional dry cleaner.

3.) Try to buy locally grown organic food. This not only fuels your local economy but it cuts down on the energy spent transporting the food. Better yet start growing some of your own food or join a local food co-op.

4.) Reduce your energy bills by adjusting your thermostat on your air conditioner, heat pump and hot water heater. Buy a rain barrel if you plan on watering your lawn. Create a plan to add solar panels, wind power or other type of alternative energy to your home in the next few years.

5.) Most of all release yourself from the consumerism world that we live in. Don’t let your ego run your life. Do we really need a new computer, phone, or car every two years. Love your life for what it is, enjoy this moment. If you want to improve your life look within not outward. Take a few minutes and watch The Story of Stuff, I strongly suggest it.

We have all been effected by the economy in one way or the other. There is nothing wrong with downsizing or cutting back if you need to. There are many more changes for us in the horizon. This is only the beginning. Adapt to change and live in harmony with yourself and world.

Peace & Love,
Joe

250 Million Pounds of drugs are flushed down the toilet by hospitals annually. This is not counting the pharmaceutical drugs that pass through humans on a daily basis into the water supply. I started talking about this 5 or 6 years ago, and it is finally starting to draw more attention. The municipal water supply facilities do not have the technology to remove these drugs from the water supply so it keeps recirculating and building up over time.

I am not bringing this up to freak you out but to draw your attention to it. The governments that are allowing this to happen are not looking out for the best interest of the people. If they were these kinds of things would not be happening.

The best way to make sure you are drinking clean pure water is to get it from a reverse osmosis or distilled water filtration system.

There are very few animals on the planet from which we drink their milk. Would you think of drinking the milk from monkeys or dogs? No! So why do most people consume dairy products created from cows and goats? The nutrients in milk is made for animal offspring not for human consumption. In Europe most people rarely drink milk after the age of two and consider drinking cow milk as an adult disgusting. In the US milk and cheese have been a staple in diets for most of the last century. One study actually points to dairy products as the cause for the rise of cancer in the US.

Throughout my youth I had very bad allergies, and up until a year ago, I had very bad seasonal allergies. As I mentioned in my previous post Energize your life and conquer chronic fatigue syndrome, I have read all sorts of books related to improving my immune system. Every book that I have read suggests cutting back or eliminating all milk products from your diet if you have any type of allergy or sinus problems. Why… milk products, cultured or not, low-fat or not, contain casein. Without going into great detail, casein is an irritant to our immune system. Any time your immune system is irritated, it is weakened. The immune system is then vulnerable to such things such as tree pollen, etc. By simply removing milk products from your diet, you will improve your immune system. If you have a strong immune system, you have no allergies-it’s that simple. Milk products can also worsen several digestive and respiratory disorders, as well as, lead to high cholesterol, child ear infections, and eczema.

Research on the immune system and how it works is new. Most general practice doctors have not been trained on immune system enhancement. Therefore, if you go to your doctor, they may have no idea what your talking about. They will just tell you that there is no scientific evidence of dairy products causing health issues and so on. The main benefit of drinking milk is calcium. If you eat a good diet, you will get enough calcium from fruits and vegetables. If you are worried about not getting enough calcium, take a supplement. The suggested amount of calcium for an adult male is 900mg and for a woman, it is 1200mg.

I cannot remember the last time we had a good rainy day. The Southeast along with several other areas of the US are in a severe drought. The only thing that saved the Southeast last year was a few tropical storms. So far this year we have not had any major storms pass our way.

When the weather forecasters start wishing for hurricanes and tropical storms, you have to start wondering how bad we have it. Our local reservoir is 6 feet below it’s normal level. In reality we may run out of water in the next 60 days. I hope the general public wakes up and starts seeing the real value of water. Simply putting the blame on others will not solve this problem.

Do your part and start using some of the water conservation methods listed below:

1.) Never put water down the drain when there may be another use for it such as watering a plant or garden, or cleaning.

2.) Verify that your home is leak-free, because many homes have hidden water leaks. Read your water meter before and after a two-hour period when no water is being used. If the meter does not read exactly the same, there is a leak.

3.) Repair dripping faucets by replacing washers. If your faucet is dripping at the rate of one drop per second, you can expect to waste 2,700 gallons per year which will add to the cost of water and sewer utilities, or strain your septic system.

4.) Check for toilet tank leaks by adding food coloring to the tank. If the toilet is leaking, color will appear within 30 minutes. Check the toilet for worn out, corroded or bent parts. Most replacement parts are inexpensive, readily available and easily installed. (Flush as soon as test is done, since food coloring may stain tank.)

5.) Avoid flushing the toilet unnecessarily. Dispose of tissues, insects and other such waste in the trash rather than the toilet.

6.) Take shorter showers. Replace you shower head with an ultra-low-flow version. Some units are available that allow you to cut off the flow without adjusting the water temperature knobs.

7.) Use the minimum amount of water needed for a bath by closing the drain first and filling the tub only 1/3 full. Stopper tub before turning water. The initial burst of cold water can be warmed by adding hot water later.

8.) Don’t let water run while shaving or washing your face. Brush your teeth first while waiting for water to get hot, then wash or shave after filling the basin.

9.) Retrofit all wasteful household faucets by installing aerators with flow restrictors.

10.) Operate automatic dishwashers and clothes washers only when they are fully loaded or properly set the water level for the size of load you are using.

11.) When washing dishes by hand, fill one sink or basin with soapy water. Quickly rinse under a slow-moving stream from the faucet.

12.) Store drinking water in the refrigerator rather than letting the tap run every time you want a cool glass of water.

13.) Do not use running water to thaw meat or other frozen foods. Defrost food overnight in the refrigerator or by using the defrost setting on your microwave.

14.) Kitchen sink disposals require lots of water to operate properly. Start a compost pile as an alternate method of disposing food waste instead of using a garbage disposal. Garbage disposals also can add 50% to the volume of solids in a septic tank which can lead to malfunctions and maintenance problems.

15.) Consider installing an instant water heater on your kitchen sink so you don’t have to let the water run while it heats up. This will reduce heating costs for your household.

16.) Insulate your water pipes. You’ll get hot water faster plus avoid wasting water while it heats up.

17.) Never install a water-to-air heat pump or air-conditioning system. Air-to-air models are just as efficient and do not waste water.

18.) Install water softening systems only when necessary. Save water and salt by running the minimum amount of regenerations necessary to maintain water softness. Turn softeners off while on vacation.

19.) Check your pump. If you have a well at your home, listen to see if the pump kicks on and off while the water is not in use. If it does, you have a leak.

20.) When adjusting water temperatures, instead of turning water flow up, try turning it down. If the water is too hot or cold, turn the offender down rather than increasing water flow to balance the temperatures.

21.) If the toilet flush handle frequently sticks in the flush position, letting water run constantly, replace or adjust it.

22.) Don’t over water your lawn. As a general rule, lawns only need watering every 5 to 7 days in the summer and every 10 to 14 days in the winter. A hearty rain eliminates the need for watering for as long as two weeks. Plant it smart, Xeriscape. Xeriscape landscaping is a great way to design, install and maintain both your plantings and irrigation system that will save you time, money and water. For your free copy of “Plant it Smart,” an easy-to-use guide to Xeriscape landscaping, contact your Water Management District.

23.) Water lawns during the early morning hours when temperatures and wind speed are the lowest. This reduces losses from evaporation.

24.) Don’t water your street, driveway or sidewalk. Position your sprinklers so that your water lands on the lawn and shrubs … not the paved areas.

25.) Install sprinklers that are the most water-efficient for each use. Micro and drip irrigation and soaker hoses are examples of water-efficient methods of irrigation.

26.) Regularly check sprinkler systems and timing devices to be sure they are operating properly. It is now the law that “anyone who purchases and installs an automatic lawn sprinkler system MUST install a rain sensor device or switch which will override the irrigation cycle of the sprinkler system when adequate rainfall has occurred.” To retrofit your existing system, contact an irrigation professional for more information.

27.) Raise the lawn mower blade to at least three inches. A lawn cut higher encourages grass roots to grow deeper, shades the root system and holds soil moisture better than a closely-clipped lawn.

28.) Avoid over fertilizing your lawn. The application of fertilizers increases the need for water. Apply fertilizers which contain slow-release, water-insoluble forms of nitrogen.

29.) Mulch to retain moisture in the soil. Mulching also helps to control weeds that compete with pants for water.

30.) Plant native and/or drought-tolerant grasses, ground covers, shrubs and trees. Once established, they do not need to be watered as frequently and they usually will survive a dry period without any watering. Group plans together based on similar water needs.

31.) Do not hose down your driveway or sidewalk. Use a broom to clean leaves and other debris from these areas. Using a hose to clean a driveway can waste hundreds of gallons of water.

32.) Outfit your hose with a shut-off nozzle which can be adjusted down to fine spray so that water flows only as needed. When finished, “Turn it Off” at the faucet instead of at the nozzle to avoid leaks.

33.) Use hose washers between spigots and water hoses to eliminate leaks.

34.) Do not leave sprinklers or hoses unattended. Your garden hoses can pour out 600 gallons or more in only a few hours, so don’t leave the sprinkler running all day. Use a kitchen timer to remind yourself to turn it off.

35.) Consider using a commercial car wash that recycles water. If you wash your own car, park on the grass to do so.

36.) Avoid the installation of ornamental water features (such as fountains) unless the water is recycled. Locate where there are mineral losses due to evaporation and wind drift.

37.) If you have a swimming pool, consider a new water-saving pool filter. A single back flushing with a traditional filter uses from l80 to 250 gallons or more of water.

Eating raw garlic might sound a little tough for some, but after a while you get used to it. I normally average one clove of raw garlic a day. I add it to salads, eggs or burritos. For people that can not handle the taste, you can cut the garlic cloves into pill size pieces, then swallow them like you would any other medication. For thousands of years garlic has been considered a herbal “wonder drug”. If garlic had been created in the laboratory instead of by nature, it would probably be a high priced prescription drug.
